Preventive Maintenance for Air Conditioning, Gas Heating and Heat Pumps

One of the best ways to prevent heating and air conditioning issues from happening is to invest in regular maintenance. It only takes a short amount of time, and our technicians can check for small problems before they become big issues.  We like to do this pre-season and offer a discount if you do.  We also discount our maintenance for purchase of multiple visits up front. We will send you a postcard to remind you that it is time to schedule your maintenance.

Stop your air conditioner or heat pump from losing its cool.

In order to improve performance, maintain safe operation, increase energy efficiency and prevent breakdowns of your air conditioner or Heat Pump, it’s valuable to participate in our air conditioning and heating preventive maintenance program. At Comfort Master in Sacramento, we have the technicians that will help you keep your unit in good shape.
Changing your filters is the first step you can take on your own in between visits by Comfort Master.  When you have clean filters, the air conditioner runs more efficiently, as air is easily able to flow into the space you need it most.  A clogged or improperly installed air filter makes your system work harder. So, if you forget to change your filters, you might notice you're paying more for air conditioning that you're not enjoying nearly as much.   Be sure not to block your floor, wall or ceiling vents. When drapes, furniture, toys or anything else blocks the vents, it will restrict the airflow—and decrease Some other preventive maintenance steps we’ll take  include:the system's efficiency and life span.   Check your outside condensing unit periodically to make sure it isn't covered up or clogged with leaves or debris. Give it space—at least a foot—by cutting back shrubs or tall grass. Air needs t o flow in through the sides to cool the coil.
Some other preventive maintenance steps we’ll take  include:
  • Inspecting the outdoor disconnect and checking proper voltage and wiring
  • Inspecting the motors and testing  motor capacitors
  • Checking coolant levels
  • Calibrating thermostats
  • Checking the evaporator coil
  • Clearing the condensate drain
  • Checking the compressor amps, contacts, relays and capacitors
  • Inspect for unusual noise or vibration

Furnace and Heat Pump Tune-Ups

In addition to maintaining your AC system service, it’s important to also do preventive maintenance for your heating system. Our maintenance and tune-ups for your furnace will look very similar to the service we perform on your air conditioner, with the addition of some steps that are specific to heaters. They include:
  • Tightening connections and wiring
  • Adjusting and cleaning burners
  • Inspecting the motors, checking capacitors and monitoring heating sequences
  • Checking flame operation, gas pressure and heat exchanger
  • Cleaning the blower compartment
  • Check heat pump defrost cycle and reversing valve

Regular maintenance lowers utility bills and extends equipment life

With regular maintenance you will prevent small problems from becoming larger problems and ensure optimal performance of your comfort system. We also offer annual service agreements, which can reduce the cost of a performance tune-up.
Regular maintenance will:
  • Extend equipment life
  • Reduce utility bills
  • Reduce repairs and costly breakdowns
  • Provide a more comfortable indoor environment
  • Protect your investment

Insure Your Equipment's Best Performance With a Service Agreement

Two Performance Tune-Ups Per Year
Having your system checked regularly enables us to keep your unit running as efficiently as possible, which saves you money on your utility bill month after month. These regular checkups pre-season also enable us to find problems, such as loose or burnt wiring and refrigerant leaks, before they lead to larger problems, such as motor failure.
Priority Service
When you have an emergency, be assured Comfort Master WILL  BE THERE!   Our commitment to program customers means we will have a technician to your door at the earliest possible time.
Energy-Saving Coil Cleaning
Dirty condenser coils reduce efficiency and cause your unit to work harder, causing parts to wear out faster, shortening the life expectancy of your unit. Condenser coil cleaning is included in our service agreements. Because of different access issues to evaporator coils, evaporator coil cleaning will be quoted separately from our service agreement.
Repair Labor Parts
Our discounted rates save you money with every service call. Our repair trucks are fully stocked, so we are able to repair 99 percent of calls on the first visit.
5% Off New Unit Purchases
If or when it's time for a new energy-efficient unit, you receive five percent off the complete installation. The average unit today is over $5000 installed. The savings typically pay for the initial cost of the service agreement.
Please call us to discuss our service agreements in more detail. We offer multi-year discounts and will recommend a program that best fits your needs.
